Return/Exchange Policy
The thetongs.com.au. is an online shop selling hand crafted personalized BBQ tongs. Slam pressed Aluminiun has rustic edges and a polished front tong, then personalized.
Original tongs are not polished. Your tongs tested for functioning before they are packed and sent to you. It is therefore imperative that you have seen all The Tong detailed described on our website before placing your order. Make sure that the spellings for names that need to be engraved are correct. The policy begins from the date of delivered.
The following reasons, are covered by Full Return/Exchange Policy:
- If we have sent the wrong order or the tongs you received are broken, the personalized info is different from what you provided to The Tongs order. The quality of the tongs you received are defective, please notify us immediately via e-mail and you will receive either a refund of your purchase or an exchange within 15 days.
The following reasons are covered by 15 day Limited Return/Exchange Policy (Customer is responsible for return postage fees, and replacement postage fees):
- If personal reasons due to changed mind. Incorrect details were supplied to The Tongs Personalized order system.
- Personalized items are one-of-a-kind, those returns will incur a 30% restocking fee, if we supplied the tongs correctly.
Cancellation Policy
- Once your order has been submitted we will immediately begin production on the personalized items. If you would like to cancel or change your purchase, it is free within 24 hours. Please note that on all cancelled or changed orders(after 24 hours) of personalized items there is a 30% restocking fee.
- Please note that you couldn’t cancel or change your purchase once we have ship out your order.
The following reasons are “Not” covered by our 99 days return policy, and we are not liable for these issues:
- Items which have been used and damaged by misuse within 99 days from delivered date
Returns Procedure:
- To request a return, please contact our customer service .One of representatives will follow up with you via email with instructions. If you require assistance, please email usIf it is a quality issue, please provide a order# and attach clear photos of the items that represent the issue.
- Upon acceptance of your return, a refund will be issued to the original form of payment.
- The returned item should be kept in its original condition in which you received them.
- Return address (Please contact customer service for the return address)
- Please make sure you provide us the tracking# and receipt after you return.

Delivery Policy
We use Australia Post for all orders placed online. If you have a courier you would prefer to use, or if you would like to know about alternative delivery options, please contact us on 0410767434 to place your order over the phone.
Your order will be dispatched on a Wednesday.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING (WITHIN AUSTRALIA)
Shipments being sent within Australia are sent via Registered Post with Australia Post $11.50 AUD shipping Australia wide. Shipping costs will be added at Checkout accordingly.
Delivery may take 1 – 6 working days to reach you after it has been dispatched. A signature may be required and you can track the status of your order online.
We do deliver to PO Boxes and business addresses. Please ensure you include the name of the business in your shipping address at Checkout.
If the delivery of an Australia Post parcel cannot be fulfilled, a delivery card will be left at the nominated delivery address with information about collecting your parcel. Normally your parcel will be redirected to your nearest Australia Post Office for collection. Parcels must be collected within 10 business days, with delivery card and photo ID presented upon collection. If your undelivered parcel is not collected within 10 business days, it will be returned to The Leather Shed and redelivery is charged at an additional $15 for Express Shipping.
You will receive a shipping notification with tracking details to your email provided once your order is ready for dispatch. Parcels can be tracked using the Australia Post ‘Track your item’ feature on their website found here
